I live in Shuniah, Ontario, Canada which is located in the rural area east of Thunder Bay.  My career focuses on project management and business development. My interests are primarily in construction, music and information technology.

Education

I have received a certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto.  I have received the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from Project Management Institute.

I am a Dean’s List and Academic Honour Roll graduate of the Business program at Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. While completing this program, I won the C.D. Petrick Memorial Award as well as the Bell Canada Award for my academic performance.

In addition to my Business education, I have also taken numerous post-secondary computer courses at the university and college levels to further my lifelong interest in computer technology and computer programming. Some courses I have completed include A+ Computer Hardware and Software Technician, and Network+. I have also independently studied a variety of programming languages including PHP, C++ and Java along with HTML/CSS design.  In addition to the above, I have also formally studied Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Construction Cost Estimating. I am also certified in CPR/First Aid.

Work Experience

Since 2001, I have been an employee of a private construction and engineering company that undertakes ‘heavy civil’ projects.  I worked as Project Coordinator until 2021 when my title changed to Project Manager. My primary activities professionally also include program management, business development, network administration, computer maintenance, economic development, office administration, and technical services. I have also developed websites for a few businesses and organizations. Prior to my current employment position, I worked for several years as service technician for a local computer business where I was required to repair, build and customize a wide variety of computer systems for home and business use.

Computers

I have been interested in computers since a young age and have spent a lot of time developing advanced computer skills. Currently, I am actively developing web applications using Object Oriented PHP scripting (5+) with some Java and JavaScript integration.

I have designed and developed many database-driven websites including small hobby sites, web-based applications and large municipal sites.

Music

I currently administer Bandwiki.ca which is a large database of Thunder Bay bands and musicians. Along with playing in many local bands, I have produced audio recordings for many reputable local bands in my project studio.  I have also managed a variety of local live events.
