I am a Dean’s List and Academic Honour Roll graduate of the Business program at Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. While completing this program, I won the C.D. Petrick Memorial Award as well as the Bell Canada Award for my academic performance.
In addition to my Business education, I have also taken post-secondary computer courses to further my lifelong interest in computer technology and computer programming. Some courses I have completed include A+ Computer Hardware and Software Technician, and Network+. I have also independently studied a variety of programming languages including PHP, C++ and Java along with HTML/CSS design. In addition to the above, I have also formally studied Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Construction Cost Estimating. I am also certified in CPR/First Aid.
Since 2001, I have been an employee of a private Engineering company that undertakes ‘heavy civil’ projects. My primary activities professionally are in project management, network administration, computer maintenance, economic development, office administration, and technical services. I have also developed websites for a few businesses and organizations. Prior to my current employment position, I worked for several years as service technician for a local computer business where I was required to repair, build and customize a wide variety of computer systems for home and business use.
I have worked on, designed and programmed many websites, ranging from small hobby sites to large municipal sites.
I currently co-administer Bandwiki.ca which is a large database of Thunder Bay bands and musicians. Along with playing in many local bands, I also record music in my project studio where I have recorded many reputable local bands. My primary endeavors as a musician are in songwriting, guitar playing and music production. I have formally studied songwriting, music production and digital sound design.
